Hi, my name is Matt. My wife has been showing Collies in conformation (as well as other breeds from time to time, but we own collies) for around 10 years. We got married 2 years ago and I have been going to shows with her ever since, I absolutely love it. I help her groom the Collies and help out as much as I can. I have been looking at breeds that I may want to show myself. I would like a breed that I can show in conformation as well as agility, and have a running partner in the mornings. I have never had a dog that was "mine" it has always been, my sisters dog or my wifes dogs or what not but never one that I name, I train and I raise which I would really like to do. The two breeds I have come down to over the time I've spent looks is the Doberman Pincher and the Weimaraner. I really like both of these dogs, but know only what I have read. Could anyone who has raised or shown either of these breeds give me some advice and more of a personal idea of the breeds? I am having a hard time deciding which of the two I would like to start out with!
