I was in the vets office the other day and this lady had with her this large black dog. His name was hercules and his head was SO cool! I remember really liking him. SHe told me his breed but now I don't remember what it is. He was big, long black coat (kind of soft but not exactly course.) he had pointed ears (I think). Very expressive, big brown eyes and reminded me of a draft horse. He was very Thick.


He looked similar to a Giant Schnauzer or Briard, but I'm pretty sure thats not what she told me he was. And he is pure.

If any of you wonderful dog people could help me out, it would be much appriciated!

It is possible that it could have been a Bouvier des Flandres (pronounced "booveeaay du flandra") which is a large dog, pointed ears, lots of facial hair and looks similar to a schnauzer. They can be gray, black or I believe a color that resembles "silver".

I am not sure about the breed :S
