Hi everyone. My name is Rachel and im 18 years old. I've never had a dog so therefore im not that experienced with them. Although i have a lot of friends that do have dogs and i play with them and feed them and so fourth. And i plan on getting a dog this year probably around winter time. And i really need help in figuring what type of dog to choose. So this is what I've had in mind.

I want a small dog that i can put in a carrying tote and take with me everywhere I go. (kinda like paris hilton) lol
A dog who will get well with a cat that i own.
A dog who is very lovable and cute and isnt TOO much expensive to groom

So a small dog who fits that criteria will be perfect for me.

I was thinkiing a tea cup yorkie or possibly a chihauah. But those are the only 2 that i can think of that are small and cute. Do you have any other suggestions?

i think a good pet would be a miniature pinscher they r realy good pets they will fit in bags and they dont have long hir so they r not hard to groom i would reccomend that you should adopt the dog you decide to get from an animal shelter and not a breeder it save puppies loives and if you want a dog to go good with your cat you should get it as a puppy so it gets used to the cat

thanks so much for your input.. i kind of was thinking to get the dog at a shelter, but i just want to make sure its a pure bred.. and yes definetly a puppy for shure.. they are soo cute.. and i will look into the pincher... thanks for the advice..!!

Among to Jacko list i guess I prefer to suggest pug...it's cute and adorable even though sometime they say it has an ugly face...

Shih Tzu's are a great option!
But it all depends on what YOU want. Make sure this dog is fit for your lifestyle and family.
You should consider looking in your local shelter first, you could end up saving a dogs life.
