We got this darling puppy from a shelter. They said she she was a lab mix but I don't see it. I have seen a picture of a dog in a training book that looked like an older version of her but it didn't tell any info on the dog.

She has short, soft hair. Lean athletic build. Active but not hyper. Redish tan coat, one color. Wrinkles in her face that appear darker in color, brown nose and greenish grey eyes (beautiful eyes). Largish floppy ears. Always sniffing. Uses her paws like hands and fingers to grip things. Long tail. Doesn't bark much, she prefers to whine. Learned to sit, lay and rollover in about 5 min but seems dumb at other times. Will only chew on her toys but doesn't get the concept of not peeing in the house, she knows its wrong but will do it anyways. ggrrrrr. But very sweet, loving, playful, lots of personality.

You can't see the darker face lines very well in any of these, but in photo 3 you can see how she is doing her paw. I don't know if this is done more with certain breeds or not. Mostly curious people always say "what a beautiful dog, what kind is she?" and all I can see is "I don't really know" lol

Hmmmmm.. She does look to be a lab cross, but her long fingers, build, eyes and nose colour possibly point towrds maybe lab cross pitbull..? She is very very cute.. congratulations on your new family member!!

Boy, she IS a cutie. I agree that she looks like half lab. The other half could be catahoula, pit bull, or even a weimeraner?!?! That is my best guess. Good luck w/ her...she looks like a sweetie!
