Hey guess what I found out-- you can get a breed DNA test kit, mail ordered. The sample is just a mouth swab from your dog, send it in to the lab, and they will send you a certificate specifying the predominate breeds in your dog. Just google search "dog breed DNA test kits" and there are a whole lot to choose from. A mid-grade kit cost just $60 and tests for up to 50 common breeds, and will send you a certificate listing the two breeds of the highest concentration in your dog. More sophisticated tests, costing more, of course, will test for up to 100 breeds and list a combination of up to 3 breeds in your dog. As soon as we can afford it, I want to do that. Anyway, just thought I would pass the word on, in case anyone else is interested in doing that.
