We got Eddie a couple of weeks ago and can't figure out what his mix is. A friend found him and his sister on the side of the Interstate and picked them up. They were both fine except for being skinny. Both were adopted within the first day. He is a wonderful dog. He loves fetching a tennis ball, he actually never tires of it. He walks good on a leash and is beginning to sit on command. He has been a good addition to our family.

I think it looks like a chocolate lab. I'm not sure what else may be there.

im not sure the mix of your dog at this point..just call him the Remix at the moment LOL

Maybe a lab, maybe a chesapeake bay retriever.

That's what we were thinking also....but I think that he is not broad enough to be lab/chesapeke. But maybe he'll get broader as he finishes growing.

I can't tell well from the photo, but is that a funky line of hair down his back? If so, could be a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. If not, the light eyes, lanky midsection and shape/placement of the ears almost looks like a Weimer reiner.

I'm with Suzzie on this one. Definitely Vizsla and maybe a Chess, golden (red) retriever or Irish Setter. You can actually pay $35 or $45 to determine your dog's lines thru DNA. AKC will send you a swab kit which you send to them and they send you a report. I know someone that did that and his dog looked more like a lab than anything. The DNA came back with more than two but the prominate DNA was Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. Come to think of it, a Vizsla and a NS Duck Toller mix would probably look like Eddie.

I think maybe chocolate lab-hound mix. Maybe coonhound or foxhound.
