My wife and I recently adopted a puppy from an animal shelter for my mum who lives out in the country (Australia).

He's one of a litter that were abandoned in an empty house - since then police have tracked down the original owner and charged them with animal cruelty or something like that.

The lady from the animal shelter said that, knowing where they came from, the puppies are at least partly Great Dane and she estimated about 8 weeks old.

When mum took it to the vet for its shots, the vet said she guessed it was a boxer cross, and about 12 weeks going by teeth etc.

Anybody want to take a guess? Very quiet, friendly puppy, pictures below. The spotted one in the foreground, not the brindle dog behind it.

well even if it is a cross most boxer crosses have their snout real dark its most common even in the most mixed up crosses like pit>boxer>bulldog

the way i see it maybe it was a dogo argentino
(Argentine Dogo) maybe the irresponsible person for leavin that pup their brought it from
south or latin america

the dogo argentino (Argentine Dogo) is a large breed like great dane, german shepperd etc

and come in a variety of colors most being white with spots like
white with black spots or white with yes brown spots

i have a great dane and as a pup most resemble a labrador more than a boxer

Seeing as you live in Australia, I'd venture a guess of Great Dane and whatever you call an Australian Cattle Dog in Australia. I've heard them called by different names in various parts of the world, but in the U.S., it's Australian Cattle Dog. So that would be my guess. LOL.

I have a Argentine Dogo, the pup kinda does but argentine dogo have more breeds than that in it, like for instance my dog has America pitbull terrier, irish wolfhound. But I do think that pup is even though it looks more like a great dane. Cause my pup look more like the american pitbull. American pitbull and any wolfhound dog should never be breeded very violent dog mine is illegal. im gonna have to put her down

She looks Great Dane to me, but I've never seen them in that color before. I can see where the others think it's a Dogo Argentino. I've seen them in books before and your pup's face does look like one.
