we are trying to figure out what kind of dog we adopted from the shelter. She is 5-6 months and weighs about 30 lbs.

Probably Vizsla, or with a dash of Weimaraner / Labrador?

Whatever breed she may be; she certainly is beautiful! I'm a sucker for puppies with light eyes or unique markings!

I definitely see Lab and Vizsla, maybe some Pit Bull.

thats the full name for the vizsla. the ridgebacks full name is rodesian ridgeback

The consensus seems to be Viszla, and I see it too. Maybe some Lab or Chessy in the mix, too.

Yeah I know but it takes to long to type Rhodesian Ridgeback. I thought Vizslas were from...acctually I don't remember where I thought they were from but I looked it up and yeah I guess they are Hungarian..

The shelter told us that they thought lab/ redbone coonhound mix. A lot of people see pit in her, but that may be because we live in Florida where every other dog is a pit, including most in the shelters.

Personally I didnt see any pit in her. What I saw was almost a carbon copy of the best dog I've ever owned, and he was full vizsla. He was the sweetest, gentlest, most easily trainable dog I've ever known. His only real downside was separation anxiety. But no ones perfect after all.
