Default Small lab mix

I am trying to find a dog for me and my family. I have 2 kids, 3 and a 1 year old and live in a smaller home. I have been set on a beagle but im having a hard time finding one that i want. While at the local shelter, i found some puppies that were lab mixes that are about 10 weeks old, they were very small pups, about 4 inches at the shoulders. I thought about adopting one of these pups but im afraid it might get to big to keep in the house. The shelter does not know what they are mixed with, isnt a lab pretty big by the time it is 10 weeks old? Should i adopt this dog to keep in my house?

If you are going to have enough time to be with the pup a lot and spend time on training and walking then I would say go for it. Training would be really important if you are getting a dog like this, not knowing how big it will be. If he is very well trained then it will be even better then having a small dog. But like I said before, only get it if you sure you have time to give it plenty of exercise because labs are hyper dogs and as puppies it is even worse (although I love it) I hope you adopt one of the lab puppies! Keep us posted on your decision, and post pics when you get your pup!

With the lab in them, they might be grow as medium size. Labs are family dog and gentle with children.
