Help Please
I was told that my puppy is pure boxer but would like a little confirmation please. Is she pure? She is 10wks old and the runt of the litter. She is fawn and white (mostly fawn) with a docked tail.

Do you have any more photos.. of her face and from the side standing up? From the photos you posted she looks like a bulldog or bulldog mix but the photos were hard to see. Did she come with papers? From a breeder? More details would help.

I have some but not much more. She came from a breeder who said she was pure but we didn't get papers. My hubby said she is pure and he has breeded pups before, but a friend thought she looked part pit in the pics. Now, my hubby said we didn't need papers because we don't plan to breed or show her. But ever since my friend made that comment I can't get it out of my head.

I think this may help. Boxer puppies resemble bull dogs for a reason. It is in their lineage. Everything I see in the pics looks like every other purebred Boxer pup.
Short History of the Boxer Breed

So you are saying she looks purebreed? If you are thank you, it eases my mind a great deal. I have a contract from the breeder that states "guarantee of breed - If in the course of the 1st three months the puppy shows signs of not being the breed indicated they will give us another puppy in exchange".

Looking at more photos she looks like a boxer. Keep us updated with more photos as she grows up, Always LOVE puppy photos. Did you meet her parents? What it really boils down to is you are not going breed her (right?) and as a pet the most important thing is that she is happy, healthy and loved.

No we could not meet her parents as the breeder lives over 2 hours away, so we met him halfway (hubby didn't want to drive that far), both the breeder and my husband had to work that day so we went after work, met him at 5pm. I didn't want to drive there alone and my husband works on weekends when I am off.

I also think she looks like most of the Boxer pups I've seen. I think what might be misleading people is the amount of white she has on her face. That's a miss-marking in Boxers and would disqualify her as a show dog.
I think as she grows she'll look more and more like a Boxer. It can be extremely difficult to know what you've got when looking at a young pup. Where I work we recently delivered a litter of Peke puppies (C-section), and I swear they looked just like Bull Terrier pups when they were first born.
Give her time, and if she doesn't look like a Boxer when she's 6 months old, you may have something to be concerned about. But seeing as you intend to keep her as a pet, even if she's mixed with some other breed, she can still be a great pet.

Thank you for your comment. Boxer's are not really seen where I live in South Florida, in fact in the 3 yrs I have lived here I have never have seen one. My husband said she was pure, but a friend made a comment to me and that is what got me upset.
