Default Considering adoption- can you tell what breed?

I know this is a pit mix. Based on the coat, does anybody have an idea of what it might be mixed with? It's paws are very small too. Could that mean it won't get to be super big or do pits tend to have small paws anyway...
Thanks for any information!

coat markings resemble Australian Cattle dog or Heeler.

The ACD is the same thing as a heeler. They're also known as a Blue Heeler, Red Heeler, or Queensland Heeler. Different names, all basically the same dog.

I don't know if I'd say this pup shows any Pit Bull or not. Could be. But there are some lines that still show the influence of the Bull Terriers that were used in the early development of the breed.

The ACD is an athletic dog that needs a lot of exercise and a job to do. They can excel at obedience and herding. They're intelligent and fairly easy to train, but you have to be diligent in handling them. They can be dog aggressive, and will herd people if they don't have anything else to herd. They're good with children if they're raised with them, but some tend to be one-person dogs. They're loyal, but they're not push-overs. Keep in mind, they need a LOT of exercise and a job to do.

jv17... I cannot disagree with your post more... the breed matters A LOT!!! There is a big difference between the personality, training needs, grooming needs and exercise requirements between various breeds. Some people can handle a pitbull mix some cannot... same with ANY BREED. The potential adopters need to consider their past dog owning experience, training ability, how much TIME they can spend training, grooming, exercising and caring for this puppy... They are doing the RIGHT thing by thinking about it and not just "going to grab it" They are being responsible... "just grabbing it" is what puts MANY, MANY dogs in shelters to be euthanized!

Orangedog is right. That's why a posted a little about the ACD and it's needs. If someone were looking for a laid back couch potato, this might not be the right puppy for them.

That cute puppy isn't going to stay a cute puppy. It's going to grow up to be a dog. People need to be aware of that, and what type of training and exercise that dog is going to need for the next 14 years or so. If they're unable to provide that, for whatever reason, they need to keep looking.

Default thanks all

thanks for your responses. Yeah, just trying to make a responsible choice. I think you are right about the ACD HEELER. Good eye everybody! I actually adopted a 9 month old pug/beagle today. I'm picking him up tomorrow. The good news is this little puppy got adopted by someone else. The little puppies always get adopted...
Thanks again.
