Exclamation Help! Urgent advice needed about staffordshire bull terriers

My partner has 2 staffordshire bull terriers, Bruno 4 years old and Mitzy 3 years old.

I have a baby due in September and im extremely worried about how they are going to react when the baby comes home.

Bruno is well behaved apart from being excited and tends to jump up people, Mitzy however is an extremely jealous bitch. Any attention not given to her she kicks off, either growling at bruno and has been known to attack bruno if he is getting more attention than she is.

Also when we have had young children round the house, we place her in kitchen with a child safety gate and she goes wild. She starts barking, whining. She has a strange "facination" with youngsters and I am worried about my babies safety.

It has taken me well over a year to get use to the dogs, when I first moved in, the dogs ruled the house, they messed anywhere they wanted to, use to pee on our bed and basically they have ruined my boyfriends house.

I have told my partner my concerns about mitzys jealously, and how im not happy about the baby being anywhere near the dogs when he/she arrives. It is a small house and I just dont know how it is going to work out. My partner is so blaise, saying his dogs wont hurt the baby, but im just not sure.
I have seen the dogs fighting several times and mitzy has bitten a few of his friends when they have tried to split them up mid fight, which i feel has sort of traumatised me in a way.

I am thinking of moving out, i really dont want to, but when it comes to a childs safety, i have to so whats best for the child. My partner doesnt understand this.

Am i overacting, can this arrangement work out with the two staffies?
