I am currently looking to adopt an Australian Shepherd/Beagle pup. I am wondering if anyone here has ever had this mix of dog & what they were like. Size, temperament, engery level - whatever you feel like describing would be great. Of course I know no 2 dogs are the same, I'm just curious to hear of others' experiences.

I currently have a German Shepherd/Collie mix, who is an incredible dog!! We also had a German Shepherd/Beagle in the past and I'm wondering the Aussie/Beagle may be similar. We have lots of room to run and give our dog 2-3 walks a day.

Please let me know if you have ever owned this mix - I'd love to hear your stories!

With mixes its always hard to tell because you never know what breed it will take after, its never a mix in the middle. So the dog might look like an aussie, but act like a beagle, or vice versa.

I'd say go to the library and get some dog books on both so you know what all to expect.
