Hello, I am new to the forum and just wanted to get people's opinions on the new breed from Germany called Biewer Terriers in the states ? Some are still calling them Biewer Yorkshire Terriers a la Pom Pon and others are just calling them Biewer Yorkshire Terries. Our club the Biewer Terrier Club of America has dropped the Yorkie part of the name. This was decided and voted upon by all the members after a discussion with ARBA and AKC to prove the Biewer Terrier a seperate breed from the Yorkshire Terrier. This has now been proven through the MARS testing and we are moving on for AKC recognition.

I just want to see how many have heard of this wonderful breed and your thoughts on them. They are a hardy little breed which we are hoping to perfect which the original breeder did not have time to finish in Germany. Please check us out and look into this awesome little breed and it's history. They are amazing little dogs and I have found sweeter personalities than some of todays Yorkies.
