Seriously, I don't see German Shepherd at all. Her color, her coat, her ears... none of them show Shepherd.
How old is she, and how big? There aren't that many breeds that have a mask like that. Danes, Mastiffs, Bull Mastiffs, Boxers, Pits, Malinois (but she has the wrong coat & ears for that, too) Black Mouthed Curs are the larger breeds that come to mind.

vet said she is about 10 weeks old. found her wandering around the yard. she was pretty beat up so we took her in. vet thought she was shepherd also.
i realized that i didn't put a side picture in maybe that will help.
i did look that breed up though it kind of looks like her but I think the snout is a little shorter.
I know she loves to be outside and always wants attention (typical of any puppy) and incredibly smart only took 3 days to potty train!

I am guessing that it is at least part Great Dane! I am not good at guessing, although I'm getting better. I have a book that shows good pics of all kinds of breeds and this dog looks like the Great Dane! If there has to be something else in there--maybe boxer or lab? In case it is part Great Dane---couple things to be aware of: Prone to hip dysplasia and some genetic heart problems--because they are very large and heavy. (Male can weigh up to 160#----Female-up to 130#) They are also prone to bloat, which is a life-threatening emergency and you might check out bloat/dogs on the internet--I posted a very good bit of info on either this forum or another one I'm in. If not here try: Pet information - dog information - cat information - Canada's pet information center for dogs cats and humans And I go by Corky/Max in both these forums. Even if not a Great Dane---All large dogs are prone to bloat and it is something you need to know about--know the symptoms and how to react because it is a life-threatening situation and one that you have to act fast on and get to the vet immediately or it will die if not attended to quickly!!
There are things to try to prevent hip dysplasia from happening--one that I know of----give a lot of Vitamin C, although this is better if started as soon as possible. I have posted about vitamin c before too--here or/and other forum. You have to use the kind that doesn't upset the stomach---I just can't go into detail on this--but vit. C is good for a lot of things--and don't let a reg. vet tell you that they don't need this, BECAUSE THEY DO!! You know--a very good book that tells about vitamin c and many other good things is: Earl Mindell's Nutrition & Health for Dogs--mine was published in 1998--but still an excellent book-----Try finding through your library or check out Amazon.com or/and Ebay----sell used books real cheap and know one of these places had it a month or so ago but not sure there were many left.?
Whatever your dog's 'make-up', it is a handsome dog----love it and take good care of it! Hope you find out for sure what kind of dog it is, lol, I am now wanting to know myself! BUT YOU WILL LOVE IT NO MATTER WHAT IT IS!!!
Came back to give this address for the Bloat info: http://www.globalspan.net/bloat.htm#Symptoms Just click on it and you'll be there. Not sure but you might have to scroll to the top of the page. Yes-(just checked it out--When you bring this up you need to go to the top (beginning) of the article.

of course we will love her no matter what she is. I am anxious to find out what kind she is so i can give her the proper training (i.e. hunting, tracking). I am sure she will be happy no matter what she does but I want to be sure she can do all the things she was bred to do. i think its almost cruel to not let a dog live out to its full potential of what it was bred to do. I would love a good hunting dog to take trekking through the woods when I go...
probably the only way to be sure is to order the DNA test kit...oh well save up the $120.00 but nothing is too pricey for my baby girl!!!

adorable.
This pup i would say def. has shephard in it. it looks almost identical to my dog except markings. My Bruiser is a G Shephard/ Boxer mix, and if your puppy had the white boxer markings would look just like him. Same face, ears, shape and feet. I want to hug your pup! good luck.
his ears are usually flat like yours but he holds them back alot

Seriously, if she's that big at 10 weeks, I think you've got a Dane mix. Or possibly a Mastiff mix. She looks like she's going to be a BIG girl.

I agree with those who have mentioned a Dane/Mastiff.

I am pretty certain there is probably no boxer, mastiff, or dane there unless it was in the past. She has webbed feet which is not a feature of the boxer. I am leaning towards shepherd/lab mix since the lab has webbed feet.

not necessarily true, my boxer / german shephard mix has these exact same style of feet and his mother was the boxer.

As a groomer who has trimmed literally thousands of dog feet over the last 39 years, I can assure you that all dogs have some degree of webbing between their toes. How much webbing they have doesn't necessarily mean anything about what breeds may be in the mix.
Just like having black spots on the tongue doesn't mean they're part Chow. Many breeds have "flowered" (the term for spots on the tongue) tongues.
