I'm no expert but...I see what may possibly be a labradoodle...There are some really amazing people on this forum who may be able to give you a more informed opinion.

Smile Welcome!!

Not the best guesser either but not sure why cocker spaniel mix comes to mind---I have a pure cocker and a golden retriever/cocker mix and it doesn't really look that much like either of them---But can't shake why I'm thinking cocker/mix!! It sure doesn't look like the pic of the maltese I have in my book. It may have the color of what ever else it is but a maltese "is always white, sometimes with lemony or beige markings. Tail arches gracefully over the back. Silky, dazzlingly white coat. The profuse single coat falls long and straight, parting along the spine and eventually reaching the ground. Male--8-10" and 4-6# (same for the female) (The height is shoulder height) How tall and what is weight??!

Although that 1st pic does make me think part cocker!!

The baby picture remind's me of my chevy's baby pic. he's a cocker. I'm not really seeing the Maltese either but he sure is a cutie...

my guess would have been a Golden mix, if you had not said his mother was a maltese... with that information maybe some cocker or Sheltie and/or border collie

[QUOTE=phamous;69099]thank you everybody for the quick responses!

for the person who asked about his weight - he's about 15-16 pounds :

SO THAT PRETTY MUCH RULES OUT A MIX THAT IS ANY SMALLER THAN A MALTESE. A cocker male is suppose to weigh 25-35# and shoulder height--13-16" So how tall is he (from top of shoulder to floor)
In looking at shape of face--3rd pic not quite as long as a collie's but has the shape a little BUt the collie weighs 60-75#!! and shldr. height is 24-26". I don't have a pic of minature collie
so don't know the measurements and don't know how 'sharp' the shape of face is! Need some info on this--ANYBODY who knows/has a minature collie!!??:-D
