What kind is my dog?
My dog is off-white, sometimes more white, sometimes more tan colored. She is about 15 pounds, very mild tempered, and not super active. She like to be with people and barks at birds.

I too think she is dachshund mix. What's her name?
I have Corgi and she loves to bark at squirrels or birds too.

I'd guess Dachshund and Jack Russell. Or, maybe Jack Russell/rat terrier. Jack Russell/Feist. Dachshund/Feist.
On second thought, there's something about her head that really does look like Feist. And those short legs say Dachshund. So I guess I'd say Dachshund/Feist is a good possibility.

She's Dachshund and something...
Her name is Princess and we know she's part Dachshund, but she's not as squat and her head looks different, so it's curious what the other parts are.
I have seen another dog that looks exactly like her at a dog fair/show, but they didn't know what breeds theirs were either.

She definitly has Jack Russel in her. Look at the paws. All jack russells paws point out. The snout and the ears are jack russell too. All jr are very active but the dashund likes to laze alot so she gets that from them

what about her color
If she's Dachshund / Russel mix, or something similar, what about her color? Any thoughts on where color comes from? I always thought it resembles the color of light labs.

Dachshundt/Feist
Good call Vetgroomer!
The feist is most often the yellow color and was bred to hunt squirrels. Looks like this dog in pictures. Head is very similar. The rest looks Dachs.
