I love my dog, no matter where he came from. A pet store, a shelter, off the side of the road...its would not matter to me. My intent was to buy him so that I could love and take care of him, and that is what I am doing.

Of course you don't regret getting your dog, and i hope he brings you years and years of joy, but i agree w/Laura's mom about buying from pet stores. Years ago, i bought my chihuahua from a backyard breeder, and (again not surprising) also got a lot of bad information. Despite where he came from, Rocket turned out to be the most amazing dog in the world, and if i could go back in time, i'd do it all over again. But will i buy from a backyard breeder again? No way!
