Any other Cockapoo owners?
I'd like to introduce to you... Gracie my once trouble-making Cockapoo. Gracie, for the first year of her life promoted problem after problem in our household. Just the antics of a normal puppy? Maybe. And then again, maybe this Christmas present (yes, she was a gift) came at a bad time in my life :???: Anyway... while Gracie was bringing down the house (the one we had just moved into one day before I brought her home)... she was also wiggling her way into my heart and my life would never be the same. Ok. Now for the question. Does anyone have any idea what the average life span of a cockapoo is? Gracie is five now... but I cannot imagine my life without her in it. Also, any other Cockapoo owners with stories to share?

I don't have cockapoos. I have 2 shorty JRT's and a Border Collie X. As to your question regarding lifespan, all I can tell you is that the smaller breeds tend to live longer than the larger ones.

I don't have a cockerpoo either--I have a pure cocker and a cocker/golden retriever mix but as far as the life span--You are suppose to check for this dog (yours) the life span of the cocker and the life span of the poodle---and the life span could be any place in between or same as 1 of the 2 breeds. I checked it out and for this mix it is fairly easy as it is 12-15 yrs. for the cocker and for the poodle (And this is for all 3 of the size poodles there are) it states 12-15 or more years. So it sounds like the poodle may live a little longer than a cocker (but not much, if any) I am going to paste here a link that you might like to check out--I love this site-Lol, helps me guess some of the dogs 'make-up' when members ask to try to identify their mixex! This will bring you to the page of pics and info on the cockapoo but if you navigate will find much more info on things!

I don't have a cockapoo myself but my brother has one. I take care of her when he is on vacation etc. I love the little thing its intelligent, it listens and always wants to play and at the same time its content to just be a rug. I'd say its a great first dog to have as its very low maintanance. I don't really have any stories of her but I do know whenever I take it for a walk it wants to play with all the dogs in the area be it a Rotty or just a little dog like itself.
One really cute thing she shes is if you say "Cookie (her name of course) do you want to go out for a WALK" he face just triggers and she runs to the front door grabbing her leash and starts talking (you know not a bark but that dog type talking). I swear I should You Tube it next time.

Advice on aggressiveness?
That site was great... thanks Corky/Max. Oh, and my Cockapoo was friendly and loved other dogs when we lived in WV, also had cat buddies and any other critter that we'd pass by... but we moved to Maryland and more of a town atmosphere (leaving the country behind) and Gracie did not take well to this area. She changed! Very aggressive and wanting to pick fights with people and dogs that we pass by during our walks. I hate that she does that, but I don't know what to do... Any advice on how to get her out of that? (besides moving back to the country LOL).
