He is so young that at this point it is almost impossible to say. You'll have a much better idea of what he is by the time he reaches six months old. BTW he's a real cutie!!!

Welcome to the forum!
Hi!
Too young to tell yet but if forced to make a guess at this point--First thing that came to my mind was black lab, but better not to guess yet. Stick around and post pics. as he changes in looks. What did you name him? Cute little guy! Do you know about socializing?---This pup was taken too soon from it's mother and siblings so it is going to need some help from you to provide this important thing. Make sure he is around other dogs/pups to socialize and other humans too/some children. Here are some links on socializing your puppy:
The Importance of Socializing Pups
Puppy Training and Socialization Tips
SOCIALIZING YOUR NEW PUPPY
NOTE: Be sure to scroll all the way down on these pages as there are some ads in some of them about half-way down that makes it look like the end of the article, lol, but there is more info below that. If you want to find more articles on socializing----Just put socializing/puppy in your browser--A lot there!
Darn! Now I see that this thread is almost 2 months old and also that the original poster has only been in the forum that first day she posted!!! So most of my post is useless to her anyhow! I wish new members would check the dates of these posts to know if it is going to do any good to give 'TOO LATE' advice, etc!!

Mind you - If I posted a question on a forum and it went unanswered for two months I doubt I would keep visiting the site. Still, it's not as bad as those who post about desperate health or behaviour problems and never check back for an answer.

I know what you mean there too! You are left worrying about what might of happened to the poor dog, whether it was still alive and okay or if some of the info you provided might of been the answer to helping it. That is why I had posted a while back that it was a good idea to leave an email address as a form of contact (on the profile page) mainly in case of an emergency reply but also to get that poster's attention---May not of been planning to come back in forum but you know they will check their email in a certain amount of time!!

That's a good idea. But sometimes it is simply band manners on the part of the OP and no matter how you try to contact them or leave a message they choose to ignore you.
I do feel sorry for the OP on this thread but it isn't always easy to spot posts that are unanswered on any forum and sometimes people fall through the net.
