Default Very Pretty Dog. What kind is this

We had what appears to be a young dog come to our door last night during a winter storm. We put him in our garage and are currently trying to find an owner. The dog is very friendly and a very pretty dog. Does anyone have any idea what kind of dog this is?

Thanks

Looks to me like an Australian Shepherd --2nd guess would be a border collie. Full-grown szes: Aussie-male-19 to 23 inches (shoulder down) and 40-70 lbs. Border collie: male-19 to 22 inches and 30 to 45 lbs.

Thats actually a Sheltie (Shetland Sheep dog). Aussies do not have standing ears.
The coat coloring and partial blue merle coat is common in this breed as well as the Aussie but the snout and ears are all Sheltie. I should say though that it could be a Sheltie mixed with a Aussie. To note, Aussies do not by rule have tails. They are traditionally either born with a bob tail or cropped.

Looks like a sheltie/australian shepherd cross. I think a cross because the face & snout is more aussie but ears and fur are more sheltie. Both come as merles & tri so can't go by coloring.

I would say a sheltie X.

Default hmm...

My guess would be a mix between a Sheltie ; size, coat and ears look like it, (Shelties look a bit like a miniature version of a Collie- I hope I am not going to offend anyone here) and either an Australian Cattle dog or an Australian Shepherd (the funny speckles remind me of those two).
Like I said before if you want to know it for sure you can go to wisdompanel.com to have a DNA test done !!

It looks like a beautiful dog to me!! I like the size.
Good Luck!

I would say sheltie mix. Cute doggie. If you can't find an owner, we take her/him!
