This is our 6 month old girl "Honey" (my first dog!) we adopted three weeks ago. We were told that she was a "chihuahua" (um, she's 14 lbs, don't think so), but had no papers.

She is loveable, active, and good with our two indoor cats. She weighs a little under 14 pounds, has fluffy ears, a fluffy face, and a plume "C" tail. She has thin legs and small paws. Her back is not fluffy fur like her face, tail, and the back of her legs, but more like straight shorter hair.

I was thinking it looked like a Samoyed too but a Samoyed is much bigger--weighing 45-60 lbs when full-grown and female height (shoulder down) is 19-21 inches. And in the link I gave it starts out describing the American Eskimo as looking like a miniature Samoyed. And I did see a couple pics. on the dif. pages of them (Eskimo) having a pink nose!
Came back also to say that being as your dog is only 6 mon. old---It may be the STANDARD American Eskimo if it gets in this range as an adult: weight-18-35 lbs. -- height-15 to 19 inches (shoulder down).
