All i know is that she is half pitbull...
can anyone tell me what she might be?
I have no idea, I would love to know what she is. That way I can plan for how big she is gonna get and such.
=]
She is about ten weeks old maybe more but really tiny....

To be honest with you, I have no idea. To state the obvious, if she's half pit she must be mixed with something with pretty long hair. She doesn't look very small to me for 10 weeks.

May change in looks as it gets a little older so not best time to try guessing but I am wondering if there is some Jack Russell Terrier there! What do you think, Lara's Mom? See anything there that reminds you of your 2 Jack Russells---esp as you have a young one to compare with?! I know there are 2 diff. types of coats in this breed--Does this resemble the coats yours has or could the coat be the other type? How about everything else (besides the coat)? Cute little pup! The 2nd pic makes me think a little that it could have the Russell.

I don't really think so. The puppies' coat is too long/thick in my estimation. Here is one Russell/Pit photos;

JRT's come in smooth, broken and rough coats. Some are really long and fluffy - usually because they haven't been hand stripped. Your little one could possibly have some JRT in the mix but, at this age it is really too soon to tell. At around six months of age, things will become a lot clearer.

I would say I can see Jack Russell in there - as Lara'smum says there are three different JR coats but within that there is an almost infinite variety from my dog who looks like a hearth rug through to the smooth coat in the pictures of the crosses that Todd posted.. When I bought my dog I though he would possibly be broken coated as he had the same sort of dense coat this puppy has. His hair didn't actually "sprout" until shortly before his first birthday.
Having said that the pup also looks as though she could have some collie in her. When my Jack Russell was 10/16 weeks people would think he was a collie pup. The white and red and tricolour collie pups look very much like Jacks when they are small - sometimes you can not tell which breed it is unless you have something against which to measure the scale of the dog.
I would say it just too early to tell and maybe her character will be what shows her make up rather than her coat/shape.
I've attached a pic of my dog at 10 weeks where you can see his coat is dense, and another pic of him showing the difference between his coat at 8 weeks and one year.

This is the problem in determining the breeds in mixed puppies. Puppy coats are very hard to view as you never know when they blow it and the adult coat comes in what it will look like. This is the reason it is best to wait til a pup is around 7 to 8 months where physical traits can help as they become more apparent.
