Found dog--any guesses on what breed he is? Yorkie mix?
Hi,
I found a dog and am trying to advertise to find his owners. I've advertise him as a yorkie mix, but have had no luck finding his home! Wondering what else he is mixed with or if he is even a yorkie mix? Maybe I am advertising him wrong. Plus, I am curious! Those pointy ears and longer snout and foxy type look, seems familiar! But, I can't place the breed! Any guesses?
Thanks for any help you can give!!

The dog is definitely Yorkshire Terrier. What it is mixed with would be just a guess and that is primarily only due to the size. But they again, Yorkies depending on breeding oversized to oversized can create Yorkies that are larger than standard.

Thanks! I'll have to look up an Australian Terrier, I am not sure what they look like. He is about 7-10 pounds right now, but he seems a little skinny. I don't know how long he's been running around without eating much, so he may fill out a little. He has tiny little paws though, so I don't expect that he'll be much bigger. He is pretty long though.
Thanks again for the ideas. He's a cutie whatever he is!

I am guessing mainly Silky Terrier as it has the longer snout! In my breed book looking at the Yorkie and the Silky Terrier---the 2 are similar but the snout looks more Silky Terrier to me. Maybe it is a combo of both but if I had to choose one over the other--SILKY would win. Here are links to each breed that you can check out the pics and info :
Silky Terrier Information and Pictures, Sydney Terrier, Silky Terriers
Yorkshire Terrier information, Yorkshire Terriers, Yorkie, Yorkies
Especially note the difference in the snout!

Sorry - should have said Australian Silky - the nose is just that bit more fox like than the Yorkie.
Todd - Toto was played by a Cairn terrier - much chunkier and less variation in colour than the Australian or Yorkie.

Todd:
The picture of the dog you posted with Dorothy from The Wizard of OZ is a Cairn Terrier.

Todd, actually I think you may be on to something. It could easily be a Yorkie/Cairn mix.
