Ya I plan on keeping her...I dont think she is a dashound at all...She has a pretty thick coat...and id say she is about 6-8 weeks old...My first instict was husky...But i looked around and finding one that looked like her was rare..mainly bc they had white underbodies....
Id have to say i agree...She definitely looks like a husky...pretty thick coat...and i have seen a few pics of huskies that look like her...

I was skeptical at first about it maybe being a husky so I looked it up here: Siberian Husky Information, Husky, Huskies, Sibe, Sibes, Siberian Huskys, Siberian Huskies
Most of the pics are of older dogs--but of course the pup is young yet and will change a lot in looks as it becomes an adult and only about 1 or 2 pics kind of looked like your pup--but if you read the description given---that is what convinced me the most that this pup could be a husky!

Not sure
Im not sure which breed he is.Putting that aside- you are setting a wonderful example to humanity.Alot of people would have sent him to any shelter or ignored him-YOU didnt! Your giving this pup a chance-im sure he really appreciates this! Congrats

mmmmm. What type of breed??? A damn cute one!
In all seriousness, I'm not entirely sure myself about Huskey because of the coloring but it's possible. Maybe some ridgeback because of the facial features and coloring? Also I could see some retriever. Some golden retriever to account for the longer coat. I do see shepherd too. I'd say some sort of mix with these breeds. Not entirely sure about the huskey though bt as I said all these are possibilities.

Lol, Todd! The coloring was why I was skeptical at first but if you read the description that it gives in that link I posted above--You will see where it mentions this coloring and esp the color of the nose to go with it!--Husky.

Id say the description of the husky is pretty spot on...Liver color nose with brown coat...hair in b/w the paw...pointy triangle ears that sit on top of the head..oval eyes...Thick coat..However...the only thing that makes me wonder is the color pattern...after looking at them all over the internet...I think i saw one that was brown/red and brown almost all the huskies i saw had a White bottom coat...I did see one pup however after alot of pics that was brown/red and brown...So

The Siberian Husky carries the facial outline that this pup is showing so it is safe to assume it is a mix of Siberian Husky and most likely lab. The head shows no Rhodesian anywhere in it and it is definitely not Dachshund based on the size at least based on the pics.

It was the facial markings that suggested dachshund to me. Huskies are not that common here and they are usually the standard grey and white so the brown is a new one on me. I think this pup is stunning though, whatever he turns out to be. I'd just love to run my fingers through that coat

I guess I was not clear, what I meant was the facial "markings" not the coloring even though the Siberian does come in Red which when they are pups is more of a soft reddish brown. If you look at the lines without seeing colors you will see the same found on the face of a Siberian. It is just a marking not necessarily a color that I was referring to.
