Default Boxer/German Shepherd

Ok, my lil guy has gotten a little older and looks different from when I originally posted!!
Do you guys still think he's a boxer/shepherd mix???

HE IS GROWING SOOO FAST!!!

At 12-13 weeks he was about 32 lbs. He's at about 15 weeks now and I'm guessing hes in the upper 30s. Wonder how big he'll get!!!!
I'm wondering if his body will be more boxer-like or shepherd-like.

It will be interesting to see!!! The way he looks now he doesn't seem like he'll break 80lbs but who knwos!

Here is one more!

I can see the boxer part for sure, lol, esp. the 'actions' displayed in that 2nd pic.

Def. boxer, but I also can see mastiff. This would account for the size as well. Looks like this dog could easily get up to 80 pounds or more weighing 30 at 4 months, but you never know for sure. I also see some ridgeback as a possibility. These are large dogs as well. I personally don't see any shepherd to be honest.

Very cute!

Oops. I should have been more clear.

I saw the mom... and she seemed like a purebread German Shepherd (def a german shepherd if not purebred).

They claimed the father was a boxer (i never saw him). I'm wondering if he was a mix of some sort. The larger he gets the more I think maybe mastiff... boxer.. or something someone could confuse with a boxer mix if they weren't as knowledgeable about breeds b/c they insisted the dad was a boxer..

In person, the shepherd in him really is the coat and maybe his body style a little. (He could stlil be boxer like... hes very lanky, huge paws, box-y face, colorings on his muzzle are GSD like).

Other than that i'm not sure. His ears are perked a little and move around like a boxers would if they weren' cropped. He has a little gray in his tail. He has the white stripe on his chest and white paws. He has the black "mole" on the sides of his face if you know what I'm talking about.

And he makes a LOT of funny noises and grunts and snorts and throws his toys around like a boxer which makes me laugh everyday.

Well than if the mom was a shepherd the dog must be half shepherd then... In that case half shepherd and mix of the other breeds I mentioned are all possible.

Well it's hard to tell in the first two pics, but in the last two I see Dane. Paws are to big for a Boxer. My GSD's had big paws as pups. I really don't see the GSD coat. Too short.

Whatever he is, he is a CUTIE.

I didn't see Shepherd wither but the OP just said above that the mother was a shepherd.

I'm sure that there is some GSD in there somewhere. LOL

But depending on what else the mother is mixed with and the father, sometimes pups can look totaly different then the mom. And remember, a female can be impregnated by more then one dog. Same with cats. And yes at times women.

Good point. Females can give birth to a litter with more than one father. This is a possibility.

Haha. The mother didn't look like she had anything mixed in with her, but I don't know if she was a purebred either.

Dane, huh??? The picture of his sitting up in the grass looks a little different tahn he looks in person. I don't know!! I kindof want to get a DNA test just to see because I'm so curious!!!

Well I think you need to post more pics.

Maybe one where he is sitting front view.

yes, this looks just like my boxer shepherd mix..is it a male? mine is a girl and they look pretty similar. yours look a little thicker legs, but probably because its a male instead of female. mine is coat is a little darker, but just a shade
