Surprised that someone hasn't ventured a guess by now---Actually I am a little reluctant myself--kind of a toughie-for me anyway but will offer a couple guesses (not the best)--Lab mixed with Staffie or Golden Retriever. Not exactly sure why I am thinking Golden except maybe the color combined with the finer feet/legs than the the Lab.--But my main guess is Lab for part of the mix. Not sure about the tail--Not seeing it well enough in the pic---Is it thick like an 'otter' tail?--thick at the base, round and tapered, (Way a lab's tail is described) or is that just more hair than 'meat' like a golden retriever? Note that a lab is a very good swimmer.

Have you got any more pics--standing side view and one where the pic doesn't make the head look out of proportion to the rest of the body. How much does this dog weigh--male or female--Height from shoulder down

I agree with the golden. The coat def. looks like one. Looks like maybe some pit bull to. Staff is realistic as well as you said.

Yes, more pics would be helpful and an age/sex.

The eyebrows and body shape remind me of the short-hair thin version of a husky--(american husky or some such)
