Default What is this little guy???

Hi,

I know these are not professional opinions but I still wanna know what you think. We adopted this little guy named Cash when he was 9 weeks old from a shelter. We were told he is a morkie (yorkie/Maltese) His coloring when he was young was black and tan ( classic yorkie ) He also is around 11.5 pounds now and is 7 months old. I feel like he is too big to be a yorkie/maltese mix. I was looking at West Highlands and thinking he looked a little like them. I have my doubts as to the combo they said he was. Any opinions would be awesome thanks.

ps the first photo where he is black was when he was a puppy

Looks like a Morkie to me...just because of the weight being what it is does not imply that it is anything else. Too many people assume that all dogs are to breed standard when in fact most are not. So weight, height etc. when it comes to mutts is of no consequence. Its physical resemblance to most Morkies is there. So all anyone could do would be guess.

Fourche Terrier, Fourche Terriers, Westie Yorkie Hybrid

Yorktese, Yorkteses, Morkies, Malkies, -

The above 2 links are from the same site. If you put your curser on your upper left back arrow--in the last link after you look at that page--will bring you to many more combinations of breeds. This page is actually the last page of mixed breeds done alphabetically. I chose this page as it has the yorkie mixes. As you can see your dog could be many different breeds--and note that even if you knew for sure what combo you had--It may look much different than other dogs of the same mix!! Some I thought were interesting:
Jorki---Yarwich----Yorkierussell---Kashon---Silkland Terrier---Silky Cocker--
Yoranian----Yorkiepoo. If you want to check them out --just click on each word in the alphabetized list.

This whole site is very good and a lot there---Maybe you would like to 'navigate' the many pages---Just click on one of the headings on the top of some of the pages--esp. the home page!

I agree with both.

Very cute!
