I have been told more than once that my little dog is a Patterdale or Patterdale Jack Russell Cross. When I got her I had never heard of the breed so accepted what I was told. But since then I have seen more Patts "in the flesh" rather than just in photos and the only similarity between her and a Patterdale is the colouring. She is black with a white chin/chest and paws. She is very fine featured and slightly overweight. She is 12" tall and weighs 16lb. Her muzzle is shorter than a Jack Russell and she has ears like a chihuahua.

So anyone want to hazard a guess at what might be in her mix???

I can't believe how many different (yet close)mixtures of the same type of breeds there are! Then there is the Parson Russell Terrier---Rat Terrier and think there is another mix listed that is a possibility---If you will click on All Breeds at top of the page(s)in this link when you are done viewing the 3 or so pages of pics for this Patterdale mix---It will give you an alphabetized list of the breeds/mixes---Just click on the Parson Russell Terrier and then the Rat terrier and whatever that other close mix you will notice amongst these breeds (that I can't remember the name of right now!). Be sure to read the info that goes along with the breed--gives descriptions, etc. I love this site-there is a lot of different 'stuff' on it.---lot of 'things' to click on! Yogi had mentioned this site quite awhile back in a post---I go there every time somebody needs to know what their dog may be. Notice the weight and height of these breeds. If I remember right--The link I just gave you for the patterdale mix is right on the mark for both! Lol, have fun.

Interesting. To me those Patterdale/Jack crosses look like proper Patts. Their faces are much squarer than Ojo's. I think she is just a little terrier cross and that is all I need to know really. We love her to bits.
