Florida Brown Dog?
We got this baby girl from the city pound after they found her wandering alone in a neighborhood at 4 pounds, barely 7 weeks old. The pound workers thought perhaps Belgian Malinois Shepherd. We took her to our vet, who would not even venture a guess as to her breed, instead saying she was a Florida Brown Dog.
Some friends think Ridgeback, and she does have a dark stripe down her back, but the fur runs the correct direction. Her paw pads are brown too, which I thought was odd.
We love Biscuit no matter what, but it would be good to know if she is going to be huge, etc.
She is friendly, but not scared, playing well with her "sister" Molly, another rescue our vet thinks is a lab/boxer mix. Molly's BFF died of a tumor last year, and she put on 15 pounds and was so depressed, I had to get her another friend. No matter what Biscuit turns out to be, she is definitely loved.
Thanks for any input...

The truth is, at this age until it is approx 6 to 8 months of age and the adult coat is in and the body shape becomes more defined including the head there is no real way to determine the breeds that could be in this pup. It would only be guessing and realistically when it does show adult development more times than not, the dog will rarely show what breeds were guessed. It is like an infant. They rarely carry the same physical characteristics into adulthood. Best is to wait til the pup is older and then review the changes to get a better idea.

Trust me, after over 50 years even I have found no cure for what a pup will do to carpet, furniture, hard wood and walls. I have 2 male Miniature Pinscher pups from the last litter now just shy of 4 months old. They have torn a hole in the carpet and in the love seat shredding the foam out of it. Everything they can get their teeth into is fair game.
To make matters worse, I have 28 dogs with 5 being under 7 months.
