I recently adopted puppy from the animal shelter. We were told she was a Lhasa Apso/Cocker Spaniel Mix, however I don't think she looks all that much like either breed. She's about 8 or 9 weeks old. Thank you!

Ah - she is sooooo sweet. It is really far too soon to guess what she might be. So many pure breed pups resemble other breeds when they are just a few weeks old. With a cross breed there is even more chance of one mix looking like another. Did the shelter give you any reason for their thoughts on her background? If you hadn't said anything I would have guessed that she was either a Jack Russell or a pointer - similar sorts of markings but a huge size difference of course. She looks very much like my Jack Russell when he was a pup.

I think it is going to be quite an adventure to watch her grow up. Whatever she becomes, she will be beautiful I am sure.

I dont know what she is but she is sooo cute!! Shes kind of young right now to make any guess i would wait til shes a year or so so we can see how she turns out. I know my dog is a year this old and if i show pics of when she was 5 weeks old verses today ppl think its a totally different dog.

PS. I love her collar! I have the same one... im a little bit collar obsessed.

Thank you guys for your help, I'll be sure to put up some pictures when she gets older. She is definitely adorable, but she always seems to be getting into trouble. She's quite a handful.

I have a Lhasa mix and would love to see the pic but I don't know where you posted it. Although I'm sure I can't help identify it either since she is so little. I'm looking forward to you coming back with more photos as she gets older.
