I agree with Corky/Max...you really have to wait several months. Pups go through so many changes. If you have no clue as to who either parent is, then its a real guessing game. When they are less than 6 months old, adult weight is just a soft estimate also. I do rescue and we have had litters where we obviously know who the mother is, but the sire is anyone's guess. And, still, with that much information and 20 years of experience, we have ended up with surprises. We had a pure boxer come to our doorstep that whelped within hours. Based on the weight progression of the puppies and knowing who mom was, we estimated their adult weight at about 60 lbs, no more. We received some interesting followup pictures and phone calls a few months later when they were on the way to being 90 lbs dogs! By 8 months it was apparent that a Great Dane possibly had contributed to this litter. Fortunately, we always warn our adopters that adult weights are an estimate.
Just for fun, though, if we are taking wild guesses at your puppy's breed, I agree with cigwyllt....the first thing I thought was border collie or maybe spaniel.
Keep in touch with pics!
