Hi, This is our dog Max. We have had him since he was 8 weeks old and he is now 7 years old. We have no idea what he is. Can anybody help us out? Thanks in advance. He is about 45-50 pounds and 23 inches at the top of his shoulders.

Too large to be a Jack Russell but the face kind of reminds me of one as does the coat. If it is a mix with a larger dog breed --could there be some Jack there!?

Thanks for the responses. I've always thought he looks like a jack rusell as well but much bigger.

That is a VERY unusual looking dog... what are his habits, attitude, drives? he almost looks to me like he could have some pitty in there, lab maybe... if you crossed a JRT with a Pitty, it may look a bit like your handsome boy.... maybe LOL Whatever he is, He's quite a looker, and I'm sure you love him to bits!

He looks like a Bull Terrier mixed with a more petite breed.

I'm probably totally off, but maybe an Australian Cattle Dog mix?
