Terrier Experts- Help. What is Gracie?
Got Gracie as a rescue from a neighbor, unclear as to background. Too many medical bills, DNA test will have to wait.
(SCROLL DOWN FOR PHOTOS)
Features:
-Hair is almost human like, hypoallergetic, straight, looks 'wiry' but is very soft.
-Ears started out popping out but fell down to floppy. They pop up, one, or both, when she is 'on alert'.
-Eyes are small and beady, not almond shaped. So cute tho. Have lots of boogies though, I have to wipe out every day.
-She has a long beard, but when she is wet, her nose is very slim and pointed.
-Has eyebrows that hang over like bangs when not cut, almost like a yorkie or maltese type.
-Tail has a slight curl, long, straggly hair, not a tight curl like a pom or pug.
-Feet are hairy, look like mini clydesdales.
-10-12 pounds or so
-LONG body
-LONG legs, very very fast run and good jumper. Her fastest sprint is like feet barely touch the ground.
-Has speckles and spots almost like rat terriers do especially on her feet and underside.
Temperament:
-Submissive, when you put your hand out, she might get real low or flip over.
-Not yappy, but will chase racoons and possoms, never seen her kill anything other than bugs tho. Barks only when she is on alert.
-Very playful and energetic, a good retriever, also 'shakes' her toys to 'kill' them.
-Can sit and cuddle and snuggle all the time too.
-Very intelligent, learns new commands in less than a day. 95% obedient (unless chasing something)
-Very socialized, (we had her make a lot of friends) LOVES our two kitties and any other dogs that we introduce to our home to play.
Basically to me, she is almost perfect, and I would love to know if that is her or her breed or her background. I can't imagine not coming home to see her waiting for us. We are SOOO lucky.
Photos range from when I first got her to about full grown. I've heard a ton of things from dachsund (I think the legs are too long) to Schnauzer (prob because of her beard), her hair parts down the middle almost like a yorkie but color and texture is different, her nose reminds me of a Rat or Jack terrier but her eyes are not as bold and almost shaped, so I am at a loss.
Thanks for reading!

Gracie Photos
It will still allow me to do this? Every time I got a message saying "You have to post 50 times before you can link or post an image." And I am a new user. That's why I just created the webpage instead of using attachments.
Ok I attached 3 photos of her with this reply, but there are a few more at
But at least a few of them got posted. Thanks for the help!

Wow, she's gorgeous! I agree that it looks like she has some schnauzer in her. The hair texture makes me wonder if she's mixed with maltese or shih tzu?
