This is Ari. We adopted him about 2 weeks ago. He is 36 lbs and about 20 inches to the shoulder. He looks lean, but he's pretty solid. I've heard numerous opinions as to his breed mixture, everything from plott hound, rat terrier, whippet, sheppard, grey hound and even pit bull (I don't really see the pit in him, I think it's his coloring that makes people think pit). I would be interested to see what some of you think...

This pic shows that shape of his head/face a little better

Actually, I've seen a dog that looks alot like your dog on another forum. She's a Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossed with a Whippet. though she's a tad shorter than yours.

He's a gorgeous dog! I do see a bully face... Colouring can come from many different breeds... but the ears and face (other than length of nose) reminds me somewhat of a French Bulldog... I wonder what a Frenchie crossed with a Whippet or a Greyhound looks like? I see Whippet/Greyhound in the curve of the spine, length of legs, and carrage of the tail. He's a tad short for a Grey, but I do believe a bit big for a whippet... hmmmn

I am guessing that there is some Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) in the mix.
The height and weight are right on too--Thinking shape of face and maybe the ears too.. And next mix I am thinking is Pitbull or American Staffordshire Terrier.
Any or all of this could be mixed with Whippet too.
