Hi everyone,

This is Bronx. I recently adopted him from an animal control center. He's about 1 1/2 - 2 yrs old. The center told me he was a terrier mix possibly with schnauzer in him. A young lady told me at Petsmart told me he had some Dachsund in him. I can definitely see the terrier, and a smaller resemblance of a wire haired schnauzer but don't see the dachsund so much but I could be wrong?

I think people always tend to see the breeds that they are familiar with. I have a Patterdale - a very small black terrier. So many times people have seen photos of her and asked if she is a pit bull/lab cross!

Without a doubt your dog is a terrier cross but what terrier I couldn't guess - the colouring could be Yorkshire but the coat looks rougher - perhaps Border or from another type of dog altogether! Sorry to be of such little help!

Well done for taking on an adult rescue btw.

There are wire haird terriers. Its got terrier in it, probably a cross from a wire hair and another smaller terrier breed. Cute though.

There are lots of terrier breeds that have wire coats. There is no such thing as a wire haired terrier.

I meant to say wired coat lol. I haven't been awake too long. But there are a lot of terrier breeds with it, I suppose thats why its hard to tell what it is exactly.
