Default Is this a dog?

Hello all,

Below are pictures of what looks like a dog, but he also looks like he might be a coyote? I noticed a red collar, but I wasn't sure if that's a radio collar or a normal pet one. I've seen him twice so far in the past two weeks, just today he was chasing a rabbit. He seems to be wandering around. Any help as to what he is would be appreciated.

Hello scottb,

My first thought when I saw the pics was that it looked like a wolf but it looks like there is collar on him. Really a beautiful animal. Where are you located?

Hi dkla,

Thanks for the response; I'm located about 30min south of St. Paul, MN. I'm near the edge of a small town, so some wild animals (turkey, deer, etc.) aren't uncommon. I thought it might be a dog, but the way he was roaming around I thought I would get a second opinion.

If he isn't full wolf, its def a hybrid. Got any huskies around? Just wondering.

Default Wolf or snow dog

My 13 year old son says it is a snow sleigh dog (and given that you said you found it at MN, he might be right). But the way it was moving around in a sneaky manner, I strongly feel it is a wolf.

First of all, when I click or even hold the cursor over your word "dog" in blue, I get some damned cigarette advert. Are you being funny ?

Secondly, none of the picture links are in blue (they are all in black) and I cannot view them. They are unclickable.

Suggestion - have another try, but leave the cigarettes out next time and ensure the picture links come up blue or so we can click them.

I tried to give you a picture of your post on my screen, but this Forum will not let me use an IMG until I reach the magic number of 50 posts and uploading attachments always fails.

Sorry Scott, the "dogs" issue is no fault of yours, This site is infected by a virus ad site that hijacks key words so that when clicked they go to some crap ad site. In this case a cigarette site. I have Emailed the Admin on this, but whether he takes any notice is anybodies guess. I do not play these games.
My comments regarding your pics are still valid.

It looks like it has some husky in it as well as wolf so wolf/husky hybrid or short haired husky.. I don't think they'd let a wolf hybrid just run around. They can be pretty expensive and normally still have an aggressive nature sooner or later.. they slip up.

You have to copy one of the links and paste it in the search engine. It'll then come up. You have to do that with each individual one and the picture should turn up. He can't post an actual link or image because he hasn't reached the 50 posts.

You do not need 50 posts in order to put in pictures! Once you have completed a post, scroll down BELOW the area noted submit to the next section.
There you can browse your computer for a photo. (Manage Attachments).
Click on the photo to save and then once the url or link appears in the browse box on here, scroll down to the next "submit" box and click on it.

Actually, all new members need to do is read the forum rules and they would already know this.
