Hey all, ill try and make this short

I bought myself a 9 month old Husky today, Vet checked and chipped. For what i can see she is a great dog

she has been to doggy school a few times from the last owner. I would just like to ask a few questions and would like some help on how to raise to better.
One thing is, tonight is the first night but i put her in the garrage for the and she cried and howled and wouldnt really stop, so i took her bed and it's now sitting next to the backdoor. She seems fine now but after reading a few things im really worried that she will jump the fences. The fences are a bout 6 foot. What would be some advice on this, so she can sleep easier. My dad isnt really keen to have her inside so im not sure what to do.
two, what are some good ways to train her so she will listen to me. She is slowly getting the hang of sitting.
and i think thats all i can really think of

besides just any help i could get from everyone, it would mean so much. She is the first husky i've owned, my last family pet was a black labrador.
Oh and just a quick edit, for her meals/diet, what would be ideal for her? to keep her healthy, strong, happy and so forth? I'm really new to this whole dog owner.
So yea

thank you for your time and any help would be appreciated.
