The only breed that I can think of that has double dew claws as a breed standard is the Great Pyrenees. How big is your dog? What color is it?

Smile Welcome to the Forum!

Need a lot more info then that and your dog is still a puppy that will change in looks as it gets to be an adult. A picture would be needed to even try to guess! A far as double dew claws--I gather you mean that your pup has 4 dew claws in all--1 on each leg!? My Cocker had the same thing---Think it is just a 'throw-back' to earlier times. Prob. any breed could have this but Not many do anymore, I don't think. Anyone in here --Can you add to this?

Double dew claws means there are two sets of dew claws in the back. Porter has them because he a Great Pyrenees. It is part of their breed standard and should never be removed because they are actually connected to the bone and they use those dew claws to help climb the sides of mountains. People that have had a great pyrenees dew claws removed has noticed that they get arthritis and hip and joint problems much faster than those that still have their dew claws.

You sure know a lot of 'stuff' Luna! I know you have had a lot of dif. breeds and experience is where a lot of it can come from but you must do a lot of research on everything--Lol, are you sure you don't have an itchy mouse finger too!? I just got done searching the web and saw a lot of people making noises to take those dew claws off---I hated that a lot of people were prob. taking their advice and getting it done and not knowing that they shouldn't do it! I wish you could let more people know the reasons they shouldn't do it!! At least the info you gave is on this forum. Thanks for this important info!

It sounds like there are other breeds that can have these double dew claws---One mentioned in various sites that was mentioned a lot besides the Pyrenees was the Rottie.

Going by the body and the colouring, I see shepherd and maybe rottweiler...

Yes, now that I've seen the pictures, I would agree.
The markings of the Rottie and the face and ears of the GSD.
And as mentioned, the Rottie is one breed with the double dew claw.
She is very good looking dog!!

Wow, I have never seen that before the double dew claws. But I would have to agree, your dog has GSD mix. Very beautiful dog.

german shepherd... definite possibility but to me, looks more like a malinois mix (it's the ears!).
