Not really - he could be a terrier or he could be a much bigger dog. Just as babies all look similar so do dogs. There is no sign or what he might be. As an example I took my little terrier to the vet and the vet said that he was a border collie. There is no collie in him at all. He is a Jack Russell through and through - I saw his mother and the rest of the litter. The vet only saw the 9 weeks old puppy - he made his judgement on the look of the puppy I carried in and of course was proved wrong!
