What is Wallace?
We rescued him about 7 months ago. The shelter's papers said that he was a Lab/Shepard mix. He has the temperament of a lab. He's very loving, a loves to play.
Most people think he looks a bit like a rott, but I think that's his Shepard coloring. He doesn't have a wide stance and is pretty skinny. He weighs close to 90 pounds right now and is probably around 2 yrs old.
What do some of you think he is, do you see any other breeds in him?

I see German Shepherd and Rottweiler but not sure I can see Lab at all. You said he was pretty skinny and weighs close to 90 lbs. For what he weighs and being skinny---Of all 3 of these breeds--It sounds like the Rottweiler is a good guess as a male Rott will weigh 95 to 130 lbs so if he is skinny and could use more weight! The male Lab should weigh only 60 to 75 lbs and your dog weighs about 90 lbs so I would think he would not look skinny as far as a Lab is concerned (a Lab tends to gain weight easily and your dog is not overweight). The German Shepherd should weigh 75 to 95 lbs.--Your dog is in that range and should not look skinny. How tall is he--from top of shoulder down? Lab is 22-24" --- Shepherd is 24-26" --- Rot is 24 to 27"
In thinking about it all--I feel he is mainly German Shepherd with the more 'delicate' features and tail, coloring, etc. and some Rot--esp. the face that is a little broader then the Shepherd.
Here is a link to a good place with lots of pics and description of all the breeds. At bottom of the page (and make sure to scroll all the way down as ads get in the way and it looks like the page is done when it isn't!) Also if you will note at bottom of page(s)--more pages of pics to click on. I will start with the German Shepherd page and add more as I get them.
German Shepherd Dog Information and Pictures, German Shepherd Dogs
I will attempt to bring all the links from this site that I think you should see. You can look at many more too if you want--And there are mixed breeds to check on that are in the long list--Good thing it is done in alphabetic order!
You might check out the Belgian Shepherd Dog of which there are 4 varieties--The variety to check out is the Malinois.
This might be a possibility too--->

that face - doesn't look *precisely* rotti... to me, he looks part ... dane? english mastiff? that would also account for the size - mastiff/dane, rotti, bit of shepherd would be my guess.

Thanks for both of your inputs.
When I said skinny, I should have probably said lean. His ribs aren't showing and he doesn't look malnurished. He just has a pretty thin body.
I was looking at the pictures of the labs, and his face looks almost exactly like a couple of the black and chocolate labs on the site.
I can definitely see that he looks like a rottweiler, but whenever he stands next to them, he just looks completely different.
I added another picture of Wallace. This time he is modeling.

He looks alot like a dog i have in class, which is Rot/GSD mix. They almost look like they could be litter mates.
