Check out my pup's photos!

Well we recently got our little Avee who is about 6 weeks old, and boy is she a sweetheart! We however, are a little puzzled as to what breed or mix breed she could possibly be. Our first guess is that she could be mixed with a German Shepherd but don't know what else. Please do give your opinion, it is greatly appreciated! There are many pics on her album for you to see

I see you've seen the sticky about puppies and breeds You say she is "about" 6 weeks old? What is her background? She is far too young to be away from her mum.

Welcome to the Forum!
Yes too young--way too young---Hope you read up on how to take care of such a young puppy or better yet-- take it back to the mother and siblings till she is about 3-4 weeks older. She really does need to learn (and thrive) from her mom and her siblings still! I hope she is not from a back yard breeder who is not caring about dogs and just wants to make a FAST buck and start the mother dog back to breeding again to make some more QUICK bucks!
When your puppy is about 8 or so months old---Show us some pics and we can try to guess what she might be. Don't know for sure how you came by your puppy but would think wherever you got her that they could tell you something.
She is very cute!!

Thanks....yes I had seen the sticky post right after I created my post. Just not to sure on how to delete it now, any help? I am new here so, maybe that is why lol
Oh and no she is not from a backyard breeder or nothing like that. A friend of mine found her and asked if I wanted the puppy, I agreed and had her since then. So we both don't know about the dad or mom since she was a stray...poor baby I have took her to the vet to give her the first set of shots, that is where I was told she was 6 weeks old.

You can try but there are times that it doesn't seem to work for me or you could just not worry about it and leave it there or ask a moderator to delete it--Cigwyllt. To try yourself--On the post you want to delete--See edit at bottom of the post--Click it and see the part above your post that comes up and hit the 2 right buttons you see and enter--I think it says enter. Like I said I don't have much luck with it.
Wish you would give the information that Cig (Cigwyllt) and I asked as we are concerned about your little puppy. Love dogs!

I added to my post. A friend of mine found her and asked if I wanted her...she didn't want to leave her wandering around the streets. I have a male cat (Ace) he is about a 1 1/2 old, had him since he was little....he seems to like little Avee. They are both getting along just fine. It is so cute to see the interaction between a cat and pup.

Thanks for answering--I was wondering if that could be the situation! So glad you rescued her! Be sure to socialize her as soon as you have her protected--shots. Would be great to have her interact with other dogs/puppies to help learn what she was not able to learn from her siblings and mom.
You could check on the internet/right words in your browser on this subject to get a better meaning on all this--I'm sure there will some good info on it.
Please stick around this forum--Hope you like it--We are dog lovers here! There may be some good info here if you ever need it or if you have any questions--We will try our best to answer. If you want to know about some subject(s)--you can also check out past postings/threads in here by finding the blue strip that goes across the top of the page(s) in here---see the white word Search (closer to the right hand side)--click on it and follow the simple directions. It will bring up a list of past posts for you to check out.
Keep us posted on your little Avee and your adventures, etc with her! Will be looking forward to making a guess on her breed(s) when she is matured to her permanent looks---But hey that doesn't mean you can't show pics of her anytime even though guesses will wait till she is old enough--Love seeing pics of dogs anytime!

Probably the easiest thing is to change the title of your post!
It's awful to thing that someone could abandon such a little pup. Hopefully your cat will go some way towards teaching her the manners that she would have learned from mum and the rest of the litter.

Thanks
Thank you all...I am very glad I rescued her, especially being as young as she is. I'll be sure to read some of the other posts to know what to expect so young at her age. I have never had a pup before, just a cat and I am sure it is a huge difference in raising them. I know the potty training will be tricky, maybe perhaps because i don't have the experience. I would love some advise! She gets along great with my kids too so that is a plus! I just recently noticed that she loves to play fight with Ace (our cat) and he is very gentle with her, he'll play with her too but not rough at all. Seems like she likes to tease him to get him to play. It is so cute, the reaction between a cat and a pup...they are both so different yet manage to get along I would love to get her socialized, but just as soon as she gets all her shots. It's gonna be an amazing experience to watch Avee, Ace, and my 2 kids all grow together. (2yr old girl and 6yr old boy). Any advice though, is appreciated please! Thanks!

little puppies that age are guaranteed not "strays" - they'd never leave their mother of their own volition.
little thing was probably dumped
kudos to you for taking her in (but i wouldn't mind seeing a pic - i love pics of babies, lol)
