hmm.. I need some help..
Well I just got a new doggy about a week and a half ago. She is 3 yrs old. Cattle Dog/Corgie Mix. I got her from a friend of mine that could no longer keep her, I was going to try to rehome her, But the way her and my other female bonded, I just couldnt. Well when she lived with my friend *All tile floors* NEVER Had any probs there.. No chewing, no accadents, didnt get on furniture.. Nothing, Pure perfect. Well here.. She is ALMOST Perfect. She gets on the furniture when we arent home and she pees EVERYWHERE! We have a doggy door.... And in the day it is closed off *when we are at work* And she is locked up with the other two dogs in the back of the house. Well she never poos in the house, just pees. And only when the Doggy door is closed.. She is PERFECT About it when it is open, and at night when she is in my room locked with the other dogs in here. Now why would she be doing this here, and not there?! They didnt have a doggy door or anything.. I cant seperate the 2 girls, cause my other female*Falise* will totally shred things... She was in the crate allllll the time.. till we got Phebe.. and the first 3 days she was in there.. BUT she would BREAK OUT.... Even when I put bungy cords around the Door.. to hold it shut.. she PUSHED her way through there... And Tore up the carpet in that room... We left her out,and for the most part they are good.. :-/ What do I do? I cant seperate them.. I am scared they will do some real damage.. Please help me!

It may just be the change of environment. She may just need the rules reinforced. Give her a little time to get used to things. =)

Hi animalhouse. I think your new dog is experiencing some separation anxiety and some confusion. She's confused because she's living in a new house and doesn't really know the rules. She's probably peeing in the house because of nervousness and the confusion.
I would start working with her on some obedience commands. Show her that you are the new leader in a soft, but firm, loving manner. Praise her when she does well, and she will start looking to you for direction. Start hanging out with her and showing her how to do things correctly, before she gets into trouble.
You might visit my page on behavior to help you work on consistency with your pup. The page is http://loveyourdog.com/behavior.html . It will take time for her to adjust which is normal, but if you don't teach her how to be a good dog in your house with the new rules, she stay confused. Help her out of the confusion so that she learns to love you and your family.

Well she is doing better.. She has limited to about 1-2 accadents a week.. or so.. BUT We have come to figure it was the stones we had in the dog area *I Live in Florida, and keeping grass is NOT a option here lol* She wont go on thestones.. So we have started pulling out all the stones.. And she is doing better with going outside.. and we have got her ona better scheduale.. When we take her out,if she doesnt go, she goes into the crate, and then like 20-30 min later,I take her out again, and if she goes she comes out to play, if not back into thecrate.. Rinse and repeat! And it seems to be working...Soo yay! and Yes I have started her into obediance classes a cpl weeks ago.. And this will be week four onSun.. so.. she is doing ok.. I am havin the harder time, Finding time in the week to work with her.. DOH! But.. I am tring! I am SOOO Buzy anymore these days.. I am getting Married in Jan,and we are working to plan that as well! sooo Wish me luck! lol

ooo And BTW.. I pulled out a HUGE Dane Size crate that Falise was using into the living room, and I have been putting them together in it,and it has been going GREAT! They LOVE it in there..I have to fight withTyson to get him out of it for them to go in, Most the time they all 3 sit in there.. If I could get them to stay in there to take a pic, It would be a good pic to show that crates ARE good!

I am really pleased to see that you are making progress with you new friend.
Your story is a perfect example of how you should treat animals - patience, loving and care.
You seem to have them all, and you seem to be getting the benefits back from the enjoyment of your pets.
Keep up the good work.....

Glad to hear that you've worked something out. The stones thing makes sense. They probably learned to only go on the grass, and they saw the stones as a sidewalk or driveway. My dogs are like this too.
