My dog has a habit of bringing small stones into the house from the back garden.

She crunches and plays with them in the house, and I am afraid she will either swallow one or ruin her teeth. When she was younger I could easily get them out of her mouth, but now she is a little older she is a little stronger!!

Sometimes I have to give her a "treat" to make her drop it. I know I should not be doing this, but I am afraid she will swallow a stone.

Can anybody help?

How big are small stones. My Shih Tzu used to eat gravel, and all it would do is make him throw up. He just grew out of it. You could try giving your dog other things to play with, they might just be bored.
