I'm 7 months pregnant and I think my chihuahua (5 years old) just figured it out. She started acting very weird a couple of days ago. She wakes me up several times in the middle of the night whining and licking me, and won't stop until we put her in the kennel. (she normally sleeps with us) At first we thought she had to go out, but she does this several times during the night. Or she'll jump down off the couch and walk around, then jump back up. She'll do this repeatedly instead of just sitting by my side like normal. And she's never been a cuddler, especially at night she usually sleeps under the covers and the bottom of the bed, but now she wants to be right in my armpit, or somewhere close to me.
I'm wondering if anyone has read or experienced anything like this with their dogs before and has any advice or articles to share.
The weirdest part is that we also have a rottweiler (boy), a mutt (girl), and another chihuahua (boy) that aren't acting any different.

I would say that your dog probably CAN sence it, my dog Cyrus (male) can sence when iits that time of the month, and is allways around me and liking me and fallowing me around, whines when he can't see me. i think they can sence the different hormone levels

I thought at first he was just horny and trying to mount me ( he's not nuetard yet, but wil be soon!)
but i read on the net that other females had the same thing. even with girl dogs.

Back 20 years ago, when I was pregnant, our GSD Princess seemed to know each time. 3 times to be exact. At around 6 or 7 mos. along, she would start acting worried about me, and follow me everywhere. After the babies were born, she took it on her self to tell me when they were waking up to be fed. It was funny!
