Question Lab in heat

My 12 1/2 month old lab is in her first heat. I just noticed it two days ago. But within the last two or three weeks she has not been eating nearly as much as she usually does. Today she threw up. I was just wondering if this is normal or if I need to take her to the vet.

I will agree that a bitch in heat does not usually vomit and would also advise to seek vet attention (because the vomitting may not be connected to the heat cycle) - however, it is not uncommon for larger breeds to have their first season beyond a year or more and sometimes not until 24 months. Mine typically have their first season around 13 months. I've two 19 month old who have yet to cycle - they are just late bloomers.
