Question puppy barking mad

my pup is 3months old.... but he trys to bite when the gf plays with him... he has nicked her a couple of times not badly he dont do it with me tho.... will he grow out of this.....or do i have a problem in the makeing????????

I agree with Raggs, no dog should ever use their teeth on humans. They usually get worse instead of better. Imitate the mom and grab the scruff of his neck or wrap your fingers around his nose with a firm no...squeeze just enough to make him yelp.

You're so right...nothing like a momma to make those pups behave.
They learn early in the nest and it's our job to see they don't forget their manners.

I got my GSD Rex when he was 12 wks, but although he didn't bite, he did mouth for quite awhile. We had to constantly correct him for that.

Default my little pooka bites!

My little maltese bites

She gets so excited while playing that she starts to, not nibble, but bite!! I dont believe that she is play biting because it hurts. It doesnt hurt my dad when she does it to him, although he is tougher and can take more than I can. She seems to really bite me the hardest out of everyone.Of course, I am having a few more problems than that with this puppy. sigh
