About 25 years ago, we had a GSD that would try to eat firecrackers. We had to be sure that he was no where around when they were set off, he tried to kill them I guess before they killed us!!

Yeah, I have to put Sydney inside when we set off our fireworks. Then she barks and carries on because she can't chase them. I think we should work with her on that.
All my dogs are fine with fireworks, and/or loud noises! I have only ever had one dog scred of them, he was a shepard mix, and once ran through our cmper to get away(yes he went Through the camper!) but all my dogs since, have never batted an eye! Course we live out in the boonies, and set them off all the time, not to mention guns and other tottally obnoxious items!

My dg has not seen any fireworks, or thunderstorms while wtih us, so i don't know what his reactions would be, but my boyfriends old co-workers dog one weekend would run up and get the fireworks in his mouth (before they went off), i know a couple went off while in his mouth, thankfully he was ok! scared i think. but ok!
