Hi:

Have a female Shepherd from the local animal shelter. When she was a puppy,got her head stuck down the drain at the shelter. Consequently,deprived of oxygen and has no muscle tone in face.Don't know if this is contributing to her problem. She is great with my husband and I but when I call her she is very submissive,slinks,squats and sometimes pees.I have never abused her or even laid a hand on her. Also she barks at everyone else,even people she sees everyday. If they come into the house,she avoids them and runs and hides. Till they leave,then she goes out and barks till they are gone. Vet visits are a disaster--releases anal glands and fights everything. Has never bitten anyone. Constantly on the move and gets very little sleep.
Can anyone give me some advice?
