Default Peeing on the floor..

My dog just peed on my floor how ridiculous is that? We were playing and all of a sudden he layed down and kept telling him to come and he just laid there stareing at me. He all of a sudden stood up and took off, I noticed he was laying there and peeing. What a brat he hasn't done that in forever and certainly never has laid there basically peeing on himself. Why would he do that I just barely brought him in from outside?

Maybe all the excitement caused him to release his bladder unintentionally.

How funny. Maybe he was just having too much fun and forget he had to pee. If it was just a one time thing then I wouldn't sweat it. But, I would be worried if he keeps on doing that. Is he house broken?

Yes he is house broken has been for a few months he just seems to be acting out this week. He'll casually walk around in my kitchen and pee as he walks. I heard that is normal for sleddogs (peeing as they walk) but he should know better than to do it in our house.

Maybe something is bothering him. You say he has been doing this all week or just one day this week? Anything change in your atmosphere that could be bothering him?

he should only know better if you have taught him better. If you one day realised he had the hang of toileting outside, and therfore stopped encouriging, and praising him for doing so, then where his his incentive to continue?
Also, without knowing ALOT more about your situation, what you describe sounds like your dog is ultr-submissive, but may be hiding other tell-tale signs better than this one.

If you beleive neither of these obsevations are applicable, then I suggest you seek a second opinion from either a vet, or a behaviourist ASAP.

Is he a little nervous?

By the sounds of your post he was having fun and then when you gave him a command he inadvertently pee'd.

It may be that he got a little confused that the fun switched to authority so quickly.

I'd keep an eye out for him doing it again, just in case it is a medical thing, but it does sound as if you just scared him (albeit unintentionally) and he ended up wetting himself.

I had a dog do that once..I found it hysterical because of the circumstances...

We were rough housing and he was just freaking out bouncing all over the place, speed racing, tearing up the carpet having a good time, and he did that thing where their paws go down in front and their butt goes in the air, and he peed. From all i could tell, it was an accident...but then he SAT on it to try to cover it up! I had to drag him off it to clean it..it was just too cute.

Now sure about the walking and peeing thing though...our bigger dog didn't have any accidents in the house for a long time, then suddenly one week peed in the house 3 times..hasn't happened since. If it keeps happening, maybe take him to a vet, see if its a bladder infection? That can cause incontinence in some animals.

Probably the dog was surprised, scared, excited on something. It’s a natural reaction for a sudden burst of this emotion. I was having my dog peed on a tricycle. I can understand it. It was his first trip with the tricycle.

The dog was probably just excited and forgot to tell you he needed to go out. Dogs have accidents just like any other pet or child.
